8. Warranty Claims
In the event that a part supplied by Autovaux is suspected of failure please contact the company before taking any further action. Most of our suppliers offer a ‘no quibble’ replacement on the part only. Some suppliers insist that the part is inspected by one of their engineers on the vehicle before any claim can be settled. We are able to offer two options to settle a warranty claim:
- The quickest way is to buy same part again and return us back the faulty one at your convenience. As soon as we receive faulty part back to us your latest purchase will be refunded back to you.
- If you do not want to purchase and are able to wait for replacement part, please return faulty part back to us, we will process a replacement as soon as faulty part arrives back to us
Please note: The warranty is only applicable on your original purchase, buying another part will not extend your warranty time.
Followoing information is required with all warranty claims:
- Vehicle Registration Number
- Date Part Fitted and Vehicle Mileage
- Date Part Removed and Vehicle Mileage
- Description of the fault from diagnostics such as error codes and a report where applicable
Labour claims will only be settled if a warranty claim has been approved by the manufacturer and if Autovaux have been contacted to authorise work before it is carried out. Autovaux will not be liable for any claims if part is removed or any work is carried out before we are contacted. If a claim is rejected by the manufacturer upon inspection Autovaux are not liable neither for the parts credit nor labour claim.
Kindly be aware that its your garage's responsibility to install/fit equipment to the vehicle following manufacturer guidelines. For example electronic items such as ABS Pumps, Control Modules should be checked for fitment prior to fitting and coded correctly to the vehicle. In the event of a failure your garage must remove vehicle code from the equipment before its returned back to us. Manufacturer instructions should be followed to fit clutch parts such as Clutch Kits as most clutch parts are self adjusting and some will need special care to install, failure to do so can cause damage to the part and your vehicle, claims arising from negligence will invalidate your warranty claim and Autovaux will not be liable for this.
Please feel free to contact us if you need further information on warranty items.
